Siltex Australia’s Biomedical Service Department is fully equipped and staffed with trained professionals to carry out repairs, preventative maintenance and electrical safety testing on a large range of medical and physiotherapy equipment.

We are able to perform acceptance testing on new equipment as well as regular electrical safety and performance testing on existing equipment to satisfy your accreditation requirements.

We have a range of physiotherapy and medical loan units available for use during repairs of you equipment. Full documentation of electrical safety and performance testing is provided.

Repairs and servicing

Our workshop is able to carry out electrical, electronic and mechanical repairs on a wide range of medical, dental, podiatry, physiotherapy and rehabilitation equipment. The Biomedical Service Department is also able to perform servicing and preventative maintenance on a range of equipment.
The Biomedical Department also offer repairs and servicing of a wide range of beauty therapy equipment, including:

• laser therapy units galvanic
• electrolysis and high frequency units
• facial steamers

Safety and Performance Testing

Siltex Australia carries out electrical safety and performance testing of medical equipment to AS/NZS 3551:2004 Technical Management Programs For Medical Devices

Area Testing

Siltex Australia carries out area testing on facilities to AS/NZS 3003:2003 Electrical installations - Patient treatment areas of hospitals and medical, dental practices and dialyzing locations.
